I don’t think we’re getting the straight story here. Here are 3 links

One says aflatoxin from fungus on corn, one says rat
poison on foreign wheat and wheat gluten that’s been contaminated,
according to the FDA. The third posts the link to the second article,
but seems to have further info about the wheat gluten, which is
contaminated by heavy metals or mold toxins.
