ST. DONATUS, Iowa State environmental officials are asking the public
for help in solving a “substantial” fish kill in a creek in Jackson
    County in eastern Iowa.

The Department of Natural Resources says hundreds of dead fish,
including larger game fish, were found in the Tete Des Morte Creek.

They were along a two-mile stretch of the creek from St. Donatus to
where it enters the Mississippi River.

The D-N-R was alert(ed) this morning (Saturday).

The D-N-R is asking anyone who may have information on potential causes
or witnessed anyone dumping anything in the creek to call the field
    office in Manchester at 563-927-2640.
